I hope the butterflies and bees are all out and about for the forthcoming walks organised over the next two weekends. This is Biodiversity Week 20-28th May and on Saturday 27th May at 11.00am, Stuart Dunlop will give an illustrated talk at McGlincheys followed by a guided walk about Biodiversity and Pollinators.
Stuart Dunlop has been recording wildlife, particularly plants and invertebrates on his Donegal Wildlife Blog spot since 2003. He regularly takes part in BioBlitz and is an expert on the Heritage in Schools panel. Stuarts in-depth knowledge of invertebrates and his detailed photography will be a treat for all wildlife enthusiasts.
On Saturday 3th June An Taisce have organised a guided walk with Bob Aldwell, author of ‘The Butterflies of Donegal‘ and also led by local butterfly expert Maurice Simms. This walk begins from McGlincheys Field Studies Centre at 11.00am.
No booking is required and there is no charge for these events.
